<p>Yet, you&#8217;d be under utilizing the Mobile opportunity if all you ever did was educate or entertain consumers or see it as another promotional channel along with all your other media strategies. <p>Recently, I came across some perspectives and insights on this very subject at a <em>Mobile Innovation Week</em> Convention. It began with the understanding that Mobile is not just another place to dump content. Mobile is very good at increasing conversion because it is a communication tool, used impulsively and it lives in the consumer pockets.</p>
<p>Mobile is an action and buying mechanism. At its best, Mobile use engages the consumer instantly and moves them directly from one space (A) to another (B), either physically or virtually. It&#8217;s when consumers move from A to B that your business makes money.</p>
<p>The <strong>key is to concentrate on reach and frequency</strong>.</p>
<p>Simple messaging for example, is still the biggest bucket because that is what users are doing 83% of the time. They are on their mobile phone and texting more than anything else.</p>
